Ever since I bought my Cuisinart DLC-1BCH Mini-Prep Processor, I’ve become a Cuisinart fanatic. Who would’ve thought you can get most of your kitchen tasks done when preparing your meals with just the touch of a button? It not may not do anything major, but it will get most of the basic jobs done.

The Cuisinart DLC-1BCH Mini-Prep Processor does a great job of mincing garlic, onions, chopping vegetables and nuts or blending liquids or eggs. You can make guacamole or salsa in an instant. I have a 6 month old baby and with this I can make healthy, homemade baby food which gives me total control over what is put into my baby’s food.
It is amazing how it gets the job done without the hassle of lugging out the full-sized food processor. Another thing I liked about this unit is its capability to handle really hard food items such as chocolate, cinnamon sticks or coffee beans, even Parmesan cheese which is impossible for most mini choppers.
The reversible blade, which has blunt edges on one side and sharp edges on the other, is what makes the Cuisinart DLC-1BCH so special. Its two-speed motor powers the dual edged blades which will allow you to simply breeze through your chopping tasks.
This may be the reason why it makes quite a noise for such a little unit, but once you see how well it does its tasks, you’d completely forget about the noise since it works so fast. However, removing and reversing the blades carefully to perform a different task is what makes this little unit somewhat complicated, but other than that, it works like a dream.
It is just absolutely impressive how the Mini-Prep works with such speed and efficiency. It only takes a couple of seconds to get your chopping tasks done, which really matters especially if you’re in a rush.
It is advisable, however, to process food in small batches making sure you do not overcrowd the bowl. And all it takes to control this unit are two oversized control switches to activate the HI and LO speed settings, which you can also use “pulse” that gives a short burst of power. It is also best to start every task with a few easy pulses to initiate the chopping of any food item.

The Cuisinart DLC-1BCH Mini-Prep Processor is just simply amazing. It makes it a lot easier for me to work in the kitchen, especially since it isn’t a hassle cleaning it up either. If a little noise is ok with you then this machine is one great buy.
